Last night's Jersey Shore Reunion gave us all the usual updates, but I was left with only one question: Are Ron and Sammi really over? Given their history of on-and-off again dating, how do we know this break is a real break? During Season 3, we saw the couple break up and make up countless times, and it was clear to their housemates and to anyone watching they they needed to be apart. Which is why, when Sammi left, we all breathed a collective sigh of relief. A few days later, though, she was back and it started again.
During last night's episode, the couple seemed to have some perspective that they lacked before. The two both acknowledged the toxicity of the relationship and confirmed that they were now apart. Nevertheless, both also admitted that they still loved each other, and when the host Julissa asked if they were done forever, they left things open-ended. See it all in the clip below:
Recently, a friend of mine commented that it would be hard for any couple in love to have a healthy break up when they were filming a show in the same house, and I'd have to agree. Now that the cast has recently flown to Italy to start Season 4, I hope Ron and Sam can continue to stay strong and maintain their individual growth even while living together, though I can only imagine how hard that has to be. What do you guys think? Will they end up back together this time around or do you think they're finally done for good?
